FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Does it Work?

We grow the lamb. You buy the lamb. We deliver the lamb. You eat the lamb. Easy :)

Where does Stirling Estate Lamb deliver to?

Stirling Estate Lamb is based in Capel. For a flat fee of $15 we will deliver within a 20 km radius of the Perth CBD and locally between Australind and Dunsborough.

How soon after ordering my lamb will I receive it?

Because our lambs are hand selected and processed in small batches, they must be ordered at least a week in advance. We usually deliver at least once per month, so between 7 and 21 days.

Can I chose what cuts of meat I want?

At this stage we are offering sides or quarter packs of lamb, cut into standard prime cuts of roasts, racks, shanks and chops.

Down the track, we are planning to offer our customers more choice in the cuts of meat they can purchase, but for now, we have standardised our lamb offering. Our packs start at around 4 kg and go up to about 13kg. If that's a bit much, why not share with a friend? Or maybe this is the excuse you've been waiting for to buy that chest freezer and go for a couple of whopping sides of Hogget for a festival of meat that will be the envy of your neighbours!

Do I have to be home to receive my order?

No. Stirling Estate Lamb portions are individually wrapped on plastic trays and packed in lined cardboard boxes and are delivered either frozen or chilled directly from a commercial icebox.

We recommend that your lamb packages are refrigerated or frozen as soon as you can after delivery, however our packaging will allow them to be kept in the shade for up to 2 hours or maybe a little longer depending on the temperature.

If you'd like your deliveries left in a certain place (such as in the garage) just let us know when you order!

Can I choose my delivery time?

No, sorry. Your delivery days and times are based on your location. We will tell you our next delivery days before or soon after you order.

Specific delivery times will vary depending on the amount of orders or products in any given delivery run, as well as factors such as traffic and weather. We'll give you an approximate time a day in advance and send you a text when we're about half an hour away to let you know we're coming.

Any other questions?

If you can't find the answers to your question here please don't hesitate to contact us. Probably best if you keep your questions to the subject of lamb or else we'll refer them to our five year old. He knows everything but his answers can be a little creative and require interpretation.
